What is electronic waste recycling ?

Electronic waste recycling is the wastage that all comes from the electrical devices. In electronic waste recycling and recovering all sorts of electronic equipment’s are discarded and considered obsolete. Electronic recycling’s trend is growing and its taking major steps to protect humans and the environment. Due to its extensive level of electronic waste pollution. Major common electronic wastes are: TVs, air conditioner, electric ovens, cookers, microwaves and warmers, DVD players, DVDs, fans, Radios. IT equipment’s includes batteries, circuit boards, and monitors, hard disks, in spite of these lighting and sporting tools.

electronic waste recyclingAll the electronics for recycling, disposal, reuse, and resale are considered to be electronic wastes. Normal actions taken in developing countries for recycling of electronic wastes causes serious fitness problems and contamination. In developing countries e-waste monitoring is inadequate.

Step-wise process of E Waste Recycling

Selecting Shed

When all the electronic waste items arrived at reprocessing plants, the first thing they do is to manually arrange all items. The batteries must be removed for quality control.

Disassembly

In the second step, exhaustive labor process is done manually for disassembling. All the e waste items are assembled to recover and categorize according to their importance. Disassembled items are further processed and some of them are separated for re used. Remaining items are further processed for recycling.

Size reduction process

In this section items that can’t be disassembled easily are further shredded to make the smaller pieces of it. This process is done for the preparation of new subdivision of electronic waste.

Second process of size reduction

The best of the electronic waste is distributed to an automated process. The distributed electronic waste recycling pieces are further broken down. Mainly the dust is removed effectively that doesn’t harm the environment at all.

Additional magnetic tape

In this step the magnetic tape is being used to confiscate all the magnetic things comprising with steel and iron from this electronic devices rubble.

Separation of metallic instruments

In this step all the non-metallic items are kept aside and metals such as copper, brass and aluminum etc. are isolated from electronic device rubble. These metals are sold as raw materials or kept for manufacturing.

Separation of Plastic

In the final step, plastic contents are isolated from glass by the use of water. Further all the isolated recover materials will be available for resale as raw material. Available sold material includes plastic, broken circuit boards, iron, copper, steel, glass and mixture of precious metals.

Most of the things that are included in the electronic waste recycling process are:

Discarded Television’s, LCD monitors and T.V’s, Plasma T.Vs, LED Monitors and T.V’s, Desktop PCs, Laptops, Network equipment’s, Circuit boards, keyboards and mouse, all computer peripherals like printers, copiers, fax machines, lasers, scanners etc., VCRs and DVD players, recorders, CDs and tape players and cassettes, calculators, telephones, telecom equipment’s, digital cameras, speakers, microwaves, toasters, kitchen appliances mixers, video games consoles, vacuums, hard drives, backup drives, electronic cables, electronic batteries and car batteries.
